The Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 111-107 at TD Garden on Friday night.
The Warriors led by as many 20 points in the game, but the Celtics chipped away in the third quarter to make it a one-point Warriors lead heading into the final frame. Damion Lee hit two free throws with 2.8 seconds left to ice the game for the Dubs.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 30 points. Andrew Wiggins added 27 points, including 24 in the first half.
Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr won his 400th career game as a head coach on Friday. He became only the third coach in Warriors history to reach 400 victories, joining Alvin Attles (557) and Don Nelson (422). Kerr’s 69.4 percent winning percentage is the third highest in NBA history.
The Warriors finish their five-game road trip on Saturday night when they travel north to face the 13-15 Toronto Raptors. The Raptors lost 131-129 in overtime to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night. Four Raptors scored at least 20 points in the loss, with Fred VanVleet leading the way with 31 points. VanVleet is averaging a team-high 6.5 assists to go along with 19.8 points, while OG Anunoby leads the Raptors in scoring, averaging 20.1 points per night.
